Peakroute Logistics Ltd will use reasonable endeavours to collect and deliver all consignments within the agreed timeframes. However, delivery times are estimates only and are not guaranteed unless expressly agreed in writing as a timed delivery.
We reserve the right to refuse any consignment that contains prohibited items, is inadequately packaged, or presents a risk to our drivers, vehicles, or other consignments. We also reserve the right to sub-contract any part of our services to third-party carriers where necessary.
The following items must not be included in any consignment without prior written agreement:
We reserve the right to open and inspect any consignment where we have reasonable grounds to believe it contains prohibited items.
Our liability for loss of or damage to any consignment is limited to the lesser of the actual value of the consignment or the limit specified in our current goods-in-transit insurance policy. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or economic loss arising from any delay, loss, or damage to a consignment.
Claims for loss or damage must be notified to us in writing within 7 days of the scheduled delivery date. Claims notified after this period may not be accepted. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
Invoices are payable within 30 days of the invoice date unless otherwise agreed in writing. We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue invoices at the rate of 8% per annum above the Bank of England base rate, in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
We reserve the right to suspend services in the event of non-payment of overdue invoices.
